Trade agreements that put corporate power and profits before human, workers’, and environmental rights are wrong.

I strongly oppose trade agreement provisions that do not require and enforce labor and environmental standards that allow our workers to compete fairly.


  • Under NAFTA the Investor-State Dispute Settlement allows corporations to sue governments for loss of future profits before a tribunal of corporate lawyers resulting in the immoral Philip Morris’s suits against countries that are trying to reduce the sale and use of cigarettes legislatively.
